The Residence of Grand Mesa was constructed in 2001 when our founders identified a need for locally based, quality, and affordable assisted living in the community for Mesa County Senior Citizens. During our expansive time serving the community we have cultivated many successful and continuing relationships with numerous community partners including Rocky Mountain Health Plans Medicaid, Colorado Health First, various home health agencies, hospice agencies, local hospitals, and physician’s groups. We continue to grow and advance each year to meet the changing needs of the residents and population service. Position Summary:
QMAP’s provide medication administration throughout the day to residents that require medication assistance. Medication administration includes identifying times medications are to be administered, pulling medications from medication cart, documenting medications pulled, administering medications to resident, verifying medications have been taken by resident, applying/removing medicated, patches, applying topical medicated creams/gels, documenting refusals of medications and destructions of refused medication. QMAP’s also take and record vital signs, provide personal care tasks as needed, and communicate with physicians and family members when required. Due to the nature of this position QMAP’s will have to act quickly and clear-mindedly in the event of an emergency and this position can expose an employee to bodily fluids.
Pay Based on experience.
Hours and Schedule:
This is a part-time or full-time position consisting of either day shift 6:45am-2:45pm or evening shift 2:45pm – 10:45pm, or a combination of the two. This position does require weekend availability.
