The Banquet Set up position at The Resort at Longboat Key Club involves preparing banquet rooms and event spaces for various functions and ensuring they are set up according to the specifications provided. This entails arranging tables, chairs, linens, and other necessary items to create a conducive environment for events such as weddings, parties, conferences, and meetings. The Banquet Set up team plays a crucial role in maintaining the overall efficiency and positive experience of guests attending these events.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms and event spaces based on provided floor plans and specifications.
• Arrange tables, chairs, linens, and other essential items in an organized and aesthetically pleasing manner.
• Coordinate with banquet staff, including waiters/waitresses and bartenders, to ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are in place.
• Assist with moving and arranging furniture as required for different events.
• Ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation of banquet areas before and after events.
• Communicate any issues or maintenance needs related to banquet equipment or facilities to the appropriate department.
• Collaborate with event planners and organizers to ensure smooth execution of events.

Requirements

• Previous experience in banquet or event setup preferred.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, such as tables and chairs.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
