Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Host to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage guest relations will be key to your success in this position.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Utilize phone etiquette to handle incoming calls, take and confirm reservations, and provide information about the restaurant.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the host area, including menus and promotional materials.
- Familiarize yourself with the menu offerings to assist guests with recommendations and answer questions.
- Operate booking and reservation system, including managing cover counts and recording guest information.
- Operate the POS system, including Toast POS, for processing orders and managing guest to-go options efficiently.
Requirements
- 1 years in a restaurant environment is required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with guests and team members.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong proficiency with technology such as Restaurant POS and reservations systems.
- Familiarity with food service operations is a plus; training will be provided as needed.
- A positive, warm attitude, teamwork mentality, and willingness to help others are essential for this role.
Physical Requirements & Work Conditions:
This role requires standing for long periods, bending, kneeling, and occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs. Vision abilities needed include close and color vision. Work is primarily indoors/outdoors, rotating between the front of the restaurant and kitchen, with moderate to loud noise levels and exposure to heat, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen equipment.
