A renowned upscale and night life restaurant group in the greater Miami, FL area is seeking a qualified Financial Analyst to help spearhead their finance department. As a Financial Analyst , you will play a critical role in analyzing financial performance, optimizing operational efficiency, and providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, marketing, and leadership, to ensure the financial health and success of our restaurant group.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Reporting :
Analyze key financial metrics, such as revenue, cost of goods sold, labor costs, and EBITDA.
Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses for leadership.
Develop dashboards to track KPIs across locations.
Budgeting & Forecasting :
Assist in the creation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
Identify opportunities for cost control and revenue enhancement.
Operational Support :
Provide financial insights to restaurant managers to improve profitability and efficiency.
Monitor inventory costs and pricing strategies for alignment with financial goals.
Strategic Planning :
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities.
Support new restaurant openings, including pro forma financial modeling.
Compliance & Risk Management :
Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal policies.
Partner with the accounting team to maintain accurate records and streamline processes.
Qualifications
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CPA is a plus.
- Experience :
- 3 years in financial analysis, preferably in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail sectors.
- Strong knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Skills :
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, financial software, and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
