Here's what you will do as an Assistant Store Manager:
Functions:
1. Responsible for meeting and exceeding sales goals of the store.
2. Responsible for meeting and exceeding personal sales goals.
3. Create memorable customer service to foster customer relationships.
4. Recruitment, training and development of sales associates.
5. Responsible for total store operation in general manager’s absence.
6. Responsible for merchandising and non-merchandising operations of the store.
7. Responsible for meeting shrinkage goals.
Duties
1. Oversee the sales associate team and assist in achieving their sales goals.
2. Ensure all customers’ needs are met through probing, filling and adding on to needs.
3. Review weekly store meeting notes for product knowledge amongst sales associate team.
Create Memorable Customer Service to Foster Customer Relationships
1. Provide attentive and quality service to all customers.
2. Resolve any customer concerns in a timely and sensitive fashion.
Recruitment, Training and Development of Sales Associates
- Actively recruit sales associates to present to general manager and CEO.
- Train sales associates in all aspects of selling skills, merchandise, tailoring, and POS operations.
- Review performance regularly.
Total Store Operation in General Manager’s Absence
- Oversee the sales associate team.
- Provide memorable customer service.
- Assure that wedding parties are executed properly from inquiry to delivery.
- Ensure smooth operation of the store.
Merchandise Operations of the Store
1. Process new merchandise/transfers according to company standards.
2. Responsible for replenishing back stocked merchandise to the selling floors.
3. Responsible for maintaining stockrooms.
4. Ensure balanced inventory on fixtures.
5. Ensure fixtures are signed according to company standards.
- Ensure that all price changes and transfers are completed accurately and promptly.
- Maintain awareness of competition for price and assortment on like merchandise.
- Follow company store opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain general housekeeping standards.
- Oversee POS operations.
- Assign daily projects for sales associates.
Meeting Store Shrinkage Goals
- Accurately account for all new merchandise receipts and transfers.
- Ensure all store associates are trained in loss prevention.
- Responsible for bi-weekly category counts.
- Participate in RGIS inventory preparation for store.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
