Our client is a growing and well established heavy equipment distributor with 3 locations in New England including Hudson, NH.
They are seeking an experienced Service Manager to oversee all aspects of heavy equipment repair with both mobile and in-shop technicians. Products are used by homeowners, landscapers, construction/excavators, municipalities, etc.
Salary range of 100-120k plus benefits depending on experience. M-F 7:30 to 5PM work schedule.
Role and Responsibilities:
· Efficiently interface with all organizational departments to maximize company’s performance including sales, accounting, parts, and rental departments.
· Supervise customer interaction in Service and assist in Parts and Transportation areas to ensure customer satisfaction.
· Maintain a customer satisfaction survey process to receive feedback on the dealership’s performance.
· Oversee, manage, and track an efficient machinery repair system that provides elite customer service.
· Supervision of Service Department.
· Oversee daily scheduling of repair orders both in-house and on the road.
· Scheduling of team members' work hours.
· Hiring and training of new service team members.
· Assist technicians, service advisors, and parts coordination in daily service activities.
· Monitor and maintain a WIP ratio of 70% for under 60 days.
· Review weekly timecards.
· Responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance, and consignment inventory of service vehicles.
· Execute a yearly education program that meets all manufacturer’s requirements, all OSHA standards, and further enhances the technical ability of the service shop.
· Assist Human Resources in scheduling of all manufacture(s) training.
· Maintain the highest level of service excellence with all manufacturers.
· Conduct monthly team meetings to advance shop performance and keep the entire team up to date with all current activity within the company.
· Maintain all hourly work orders for tracking all employees within the branch, weekly hours.
· Meet with Warranty Administrator bi-weekly to discuss over and short subledger.
· Maintain up to date services on waste oil heater, cranes, lift, air compressors, and other misc. tooling required for department.
· Communicate will all manufactures for training, warranty concerns, and high-level work concerns.
· Maintain Fleet Complete across entire company. Ensure all truck inspections are completed. Ensure all defects found are repaired and paperwork completed. Ensure all departments personnel are using the program correctly.
· Maintain a consistent promotion program to expand service reach.
· Control expenses monthly, plan for high expenses purchases.
· Monitor P&L weekly to ensure department is meeting goals set by CFO.
· Assist Shop Foreman in maintaining and purchasing of all shop tooling and supplies.
· Monitor all Ramp cards within the department. Raise balances where needed and ensure proper spending habits.
· Monitor MISC. work orders for proper use of time
· Assist in closing out set up work orders that are over SRT time.
· Assist in closing out high priority work orders
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Associate degree in business administration
· Ability to attain a DOT medical card.
· Ability to attain a MA 2A/1C hoisting license or higher.
· May be required to operate a forklift with appropriate certification(s).
· Able to type 40wpm.
· Able to communicate with customers, manufactures, and team members clearly and effectively via phone, email, text, and chat.
