Regional Plan Consultant
Description:
Rapidly growing, entrepreneurial-oriented administration only TPA seeks motivated, dynamic and experienced 401(k) plan associate to support a growing sales force in continuing to expand its client base. This position presents a unique opportunity to work in a small team-oriented environment along with a competitive compensation and benefits package. The ideal candidate will be able to balance being a go-to plan design consulting resource for their partners with the ability to build a regional territory.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage an assigned sales territory
- Work to achieve annual sales goals
- Develop new prospects and referral sources to increase retirement plan sales
- Provide support to advisors and wholesalers within a defined territory
- Analyze plan providers, coordinate RFP responses and prepare prospect proposals
- Organize and coordinate educational services for advisors
- Communicate plan design concepts to advisors and plan sponsors
- Accurately forecast future closed sales
- Attend semi-annual live Team meetings
- Travel required
- Outstanding TRA Corporate Citizen dedicated to maintaining TRA’s reputation at all times in the communities we touch
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- Live in Colorado (potentially surrounding state)
- Undergraduate degree preferred
- Two years of sales experience preferred
- Completion of QKS examination within one year of hire
- Proficient in the Microsoft suite of products
- General understanding of mutual funds assets classes and expense ratios
- Working knowledge of qualified plans - in particular 401(k) plans
- Professional presentation and communication skills
- Detailed oriented
- Ability to work well independently and be driven to succeed with a strong sense of initiative and ownership
- Understanding of regulatory aspects of defined contribution plan administration and other defined contribution regulatory issues involving ERISA and IRS Revenue Rulings
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills, with the ability to track multiple tasks and issues, set goals and prioritize tasks in a high volume and fast paced environment
- Completion of Cash Balance Consultant Certification program within 6 months of accepting position
