The Role
The Financial Analyst role will focus on financial analysis to support decision-making by developing and maintaining financial models, analyzing data, and creating/preparing reports utilizing a variety of technology applications. This role oversees customer accounts and account collection with team assistance. The Financial Analyst should have a high degree of initiative, the ability to work independently, and have the capability to collaborate across departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Analyze financial records and statements for accuracy
- Develop various financial statements and reports as needed for internal management and external reporting purposes
- Month-end close
- Assist in annual audit
- Maintain database concerning expenses and billing for sold jobs/projects
- Ensure compliance with all requirements for project closeout
- Inventory management
- Fixed asset management
- Prepaid reconciliation
- Bank Reconciliation
- 1099 Reporting
- Process sales/use tax as required by states
- Establish credibility of new customer accounts
- Manage customer portals
- Calculate sales employee commission payments
- Serve as back-up to account payable process when needed
- Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines. Display flexibility to meet changes in priorities. Work with a proactive, ownership approach and operate with a sense of urgency.
- Able to display high levels of customer service, responding promptly and thoroughly to the inquiries and needs of individuals both internal and external to the organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
- 5 years of accounting, finance, or analytics experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar preferred.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and ability to learn other applications.
- Excellent 10-key skills.
- Experience with certified payroll reporting preferred
- Thorough, organized and detail-orientated approach to work.
- Self-motivated, fast learner who shows initiative and willingness to seek out department needs and meet them.
- Work as an effective and proactive team-player; understand the importance of proactively supporting and collaborating with management and employees to meet team goals and objectives
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and relationship building skills to effectively work with a variety of people and personalities. Able to communicate difficult issues in a clear, assertive, and respectful manner.
