The responsibility of a maintenance technician is to complete assignments as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service to residents and tenants.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance on all turnover/occupied units and common areas.
- Must be able to perform drywall work, painting and caulking.
- Perform light electrical repairs on items such as appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, circuits, etc.
- Perform light plumbing work such as clearing stoppages, replacing fittings, etc.
- Replace/Repair broken glass, tile, carpet, screens, garbage disposals, fixtures, appliances, draperies, locks.
- Repair concrete, masonry, roof, fencing when required.
- Assist with carpet repairs and cleaning.
- Assist with grounds maintenance, including trash removal, watering and weeding grounds in inclement weather.
- Clean apartments/common area when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Hours of duty: Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. ? 4:00 p.m.
- Available on 24-hour call. Must be able to pull call for emergencies by participating in the on call rotation.
- All other duties as required.
