Position description :
American Guardian Warranty Services, Inc. (AGWS), an affiliate of Reynolds and Reynolds, is looking for an Insurance Accountant to join our growing team. As an Insurance Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with the insurance accounting function and the day-to-day accounting operations, while being in accordance with GAAP and statutory accounting principles. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the monthly and year-end close process, preparing account reconciliations, and analyzing financial records for accuracy. You will also conduct technical accounting research for complex transactions. Additional projects will be assigned as necessary.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field
- CPA preferred
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with insurance accounting required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
