Summary
The Richland Hospital, Inc. is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team on the third shift. This full-time role works 10 hours per day, 4 days a week, with rotating weekends and holidays. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and efficient operation of hospital facilities by maintaining and inspecting equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry maintenance pager and respond promptly when contacted.
- Conduct regular equipment rounds, document readings, and report any issues.
- Perform security rounds, ensuring building and grounds are secure.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks, including cleaning and documentation.
- Maintain hospital grounds and parking lot, including snow and ice removal.
- Clean designated areas in the Dietary department.
- Perform floor cleaning as needed throughout the facility.
- Clean and maintain air supply and exhaust vents across the building.
- Service univents and replace filters as required.
- Conduct drain treatments and ensure proper maintenance.
- Maintain and clean light fixtures across the facility.
- Carry out facility-wide painting tasks.
- Test and document Eyewash Stations and Fire Extinguishers.
- Prepare for medical helicopter transport, assisting personnel as needed.
- Provide assistance to ER and Ambulance staff as necessary.
- Respond promptly to appropriate emergency codes.
- Pick up trash, infectious waste, recycling, and linens, and ensure proper disposal.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the department.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and respond quickly to maintenance needs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
