We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Civil Engineer to join our team as a Project Manager, with the potential to grow into a Senior Project Manager or even an Office Manager. As a Project Manager, you will lead a small team in land development design, working on a variety of diverse and challenging projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Client Management & Development: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, managing expectations, and identifying new opportunities for growth.
- Design & Development: Leading the preparation of construction plans, specifications, design calculations, and site plans. You’ll be involved in stormwater management, site grading, utility layout, and erosion & sediment control plans.
- Team Leadership: Managing an engineering design team, overseeing projects from inception to completion, and ensuring that quality and deadlines are met.
- Construction Administration: Managing the construction phase of projects, ensuring they are completed successfully.
This role offers the unique opportunity to work closely with experienced leadership and transition into an Office Manager role. Under mentorship, you will gain the skills and experience to manage a 15-person office, oversee financials, support civil site engineering, and contribute to overall operations management.

Key Qualifications:
- VA Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- 5-10 years of experience in land development & public works projects, including subdivisions, site plans, and rezonings.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams, build client relationships, and lead projects to success.
