About Us:
The Rickman Law Firm that represents clients charged with or accused of criminal offenses in both State and Federal court. As this is a high-volume law firm, dealing with complex and serious criminal matters; the applicant must be knowledgeable, able to multitask, personable, outgoing, punctual, hardworking, diligent, detail focused and possess excellent communication, research and writing skills. Prior law firm experience is preferred.
Job Description:
- Preparing and organizing legal and court documents, motions, evidence, trial exhibits, subpoenas and pleadings
- Assisting Attorneys in Court during trials and motion hearings
- Conducting legal research, and investigation
- Summarizing and reviewing police reports, witness statements, body worn camera footage, and other evidence
- Scheduling Hearings, appointments, client meetings, court dates, and other meetings for attorneys
- Operating the telephone to answer, screen, or forward calls, providing information, taking messages, or scheduling appointments.
- Conducting initial client intake and providing general information about the law firm to prospective clients
- Collecting legal fees, preparing mail, sending messages, and preparing courier deliveries
- Tending to the general needs of our attorneys and clients.
