Please join our team as we expand our services to meet the needs of our community. The Ridge Behavioral Health System is a 110-bed hospital located in the heart of the Bluegrass, Lexington, KY. The Ridge provides psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. The Ridge offers Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Individual Counseling, as well as Medication Management for all ages. We have provided behavioral health services to over 92 Kentucky counties for more than 39 years.
Position Summary:
The Director of Performance Improvement defines, implements, evaluates, and ensures revisions of the Performance Improvement Plan are completed as needed incorporating departmental quality control, regulatory accreditation requirements and goals based on facility’s mission, vision, and strategic plan. Follows and abides by company policies, procedures, and Corporate Compliance Program, as applicable to role and responsibilities.
Position Specific Responsibilities:
- Plans and chairs Performance Improvement Committee/Quality Council meetings, following an agenda that addresses quality of care findings and concerns.
- Provides consultation to department heads in development of departmental PI measures, data collection, and analysis that are appropriate, timely, and outcome focused.
- Monitors facility functions to assess TJC survey readiness and implements corrective actions as needed & indicated.
- Conducts/participates in annual mock survey with Corporate input.
- Fosters staff development and growth of team. Encourages an environment of high accountability to department and facility.

Qualifications
Education
- A Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or university required; A Master’s Degree (M.A.) preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably acute care/behavioral health hospital setting.
Certifications/Licensure
- None; Must have current knowledge of regulatory requirements and accrediting standards.
Language Skills
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
