Job Overview:
THE RIGHT STAFF is seeking a skilled Buyer to join their Purchasing team. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in a high-volume complex buying role, managing buying activities with OEMs and third-party suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and maintain POs for raw materials, components, and finished products.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers, maintain relationships with current suppliers, and improve supplier performance.
- Create reports on purchasing metrics using ERP data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with internal customers to resolve quality, lead times delivery or other issues, and coordinate with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice issues as needed.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in supply chain, logistics, operations management, or related coursework is required. A Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
- Previous purchasing experience in a complex ERP environment is highly preferred. Experience with an OEM and/or engineering consultant is a major plus.
Work Environment:
The office is located in Eden Prairie, MN, and an onsite/hybrid work schedule is available after training.
