Virginia Maintenance Manager Job Summary:

The RipTide Car Wash is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and servicing of our car wash locations across our Virginia market. As a fast-growing and family-operated business, we are seeking a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in car wash equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and system programming.

Our ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background in car wash operating equipment, relay panels, tunnel controllers, pay stations, and license plate reader (LPR) systems. This position requires in-depth knowledge of Sonny’s car wash equipment and systems to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency across all locations.

Virginia Maintenance Manager Job Schedule:

• Oversight of three locations initially, with the potential for pay increases as additional locations are added within Virginia.
• Requires flexibility for on-call maintenance issues, emergency repairs, and scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Travel between locations within the Virginia territory is required.

Virginia Maintenance Manager Compensation:

• This position offers a competitive starting base salary of $60,000 – $65,000 per year, depending on relevant prior experience.
• Additional compensation opportunities will become available as more locations are added under the Maintenance Manager’s oversight. For each new store we open in Virginia, this position’s base salary will increase by $5,000 per year.
• Monthly bonus opportunities based on maintenance cost efficiency—if total repairs and maintenance expenses for all Virginia stores remain under a certain percentage of the region’s total monthly revenue, the Virginia Maintenance Manager will receive a monthly bonus.
• Company-provided resources (such as tools and travel reimbursements) as needed to support maintenance operations.

Virginia Maintenance Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and repair work on all car wash operating equipment.
• Troubleshoot relay panels, tunnel controllers, and automated wash system components.
• Program and optimize tunnel controllers for maximum efficiency.
• Maintain and service car wash pay stations and LPR (license plate reader) systems.
• Ensure all Sonny’s car wash equipment and systems function properly and conduct routine inspections.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and minimize downtime for car wash operations.
• Train site personnel on basic troubleshooting procedures to reduce service disruptions.
• Work closely with site General Managers and other personnel to ensure seamless maintenance operations.
• Track maintenance schedules and document all service and repair work.

Virginia Maintenance Manager Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with car wash equipment, including various Sonny’s equipment and systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing duties related to car wash operations.
• Experience troubleshooting and programming relay panels and tunnel controllers.
• Familiarity with pay stations, LPR systems, and automated payment solutions.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical and hydraulic issues efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between locations.
• Flexibility to respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
