What are the responsibilities and job description for the Freight Management Specialist position at THE RITESCREEN COMPANY LLC?
Responsibilities
- Develop the company-wide transportation strategy to support operational goals and identify/select/utilize a TMS that best fits business needs.
- Plan and supervise shipments from production to the end-user for all Ritescreen sites and schedule daily and weekly routes for all sites.
- Track orders using functional systems (e.g., barcodes and tracking software) and coordinate with Operations to ensure proper storage and distribution of products.
- Monitor and report on transportation costs and ensure shipping documents are properly filed.
- Conduct regular safety audits on equipment and organize training sessions for employees.
- Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules, and completed orders and ensure compliance with company policies and shipping legislation.
