About the Role
As a Materials Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials to support our operational needs. You’ll oversee material forecasting, planning, and inventory accuracy while maintaining a clean, organized workspace in alignment with 5S standards. This role is integral to the overall success of our facility and offers an opportunity to make a tangible impact every day.
What You’ll Do
Material Management
Receive, store, and issue materials while maintaining precise inventory records.
Verify materials for quality compliance and input data into the ERP system.
Monitor stock levels, anticipate reorder points, and coordinate material deliveries.
Logistics and Coordination
Track shipments and collaborate with the purchasing team to expedite orders when necessary.
Support regional material strategies with a service-oriented mindset.
Vendor and Reporting
Contribute to vendor performance evaluations by providing key data.
Prepare and present reports on inventory levels, delivery statuses, and related activities.
Organization and Safety
Maintain an organized, well-labeled storage area following 5S standards.
Adhere to safety and quality assurance protocols.
To promote workplace safety, injury prevention, and overall well-being, this role requires mandatory pre-shift and periodic stretching exercises as part of daily job duties. Employees must be able to:- Participate in guided stretching routines before and during shifts.
- Perform basic mobility exercises that may involve bending, reaching, and light movement.
- Engage in standing and dynamic stretching activities as directed by safety protocols.
- Follow ergonomic best practices to maintain flexibility and reduce workplace strain.
Material Handling
- Transport materials between departments using manual or material handling equipment as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with other duties as directed by management.
What We’re Looking For
Required Skills and Qualifications
2 years of experience in inventory management, purchasing, or materials handling.
Strong proficiency in Excel with a knack for data accuracy and analysis.
High attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Familiarity with 5S practices and cycle counting.
Experience with ERP systems or a willingness to learn.
Preferred Skills
Background in supply chain management principles.
Knowledge of planning, procurement, and logistics.
Forklift certification is a plus.
