Housekeeping Supervisor
Location: River Electric, Guerneville CA
Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a key leadership role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of guest rooms and public areas. This position oversees housekeeping staff, ensures high cleanliness standards are met, and collaborates with management to enhance the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Supervision & Training:
- Lead and oversee housekeeping staff, assigning tasks and ensuring efficiency.
- Complete and distribute daily room assignments to the housekeeping team.
- Train new housekeeping team members on cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
- Conduct quality inspections of rooms and public areas to uphold cleanliness standards.
Guest Room & Public Area Maintenance:
- Ensure guest rooms, common areas, and campground spaces are cleaned and maintained to hotel standards.
- Address and resolve housekeeping-related guest requests or complaints promptly.
- Monitor and enforce proper handling of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Inventory & Operations Management:
- Manage housekeeping supply inventory, ordering as needed to prevent shortages.
- Coordinate with the front desk and maintenance teams to report room readiness and any necessary repairs.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health regulations, and safety guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous housekeeping or supervisory experience in hospitality preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to train and motivate a team while maintaining efficiency.
- Attention to detail and ability to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout shifts.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and push housekeeping carts.
- Availability for weekends and holidays as required.
