What are the responsibilities and job description for the Events Manager position at The River Place?
Responsibilities:
- Execute a wide range of events, including conferences, tradeshows, live performances and galas.
- Oversee event logistics day of, including any day of tasks, setup, and/or breakdown
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of events
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients before, during, and after events
- Conduct post-event walkthroughs with the Client to guarantee a great experience and effective communication.
- Access and update documents with event notes. Keep thorough records and documentation of any incidents or complaints from Clients or guests
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills to effectively manage single/multiple events simultaneously
- Proven ability to upsell event services and generate additional revenue
- Exceptional time management and punctuality skills to ensure timely execution of events and proper preparation.
- Knowledge of event types and ability to coordinate food and beverage services for events
- Excellent professionalism and communication skills to effectively interact with clients, vendors, sponsors, and team members
- Experience working in a hotel or hospitality industry is preferred
- Prior experience and proven success in event Fulfillment, Production, theatrical/live events.
- Knowledge on audio, lights, and projection preferred.
- Ability to use Microsoft applications and/or ability to learn software.
