Schedule: Full-Time, Temporary (six month assignment)
Salary Range: $63,000 to $68,000
Start Date: April 2025
This is a full-time position with benefits – possibility to convert to a permanent position.
Job Summary:
The Accounting Associate provides direct support to the Controller and Director of Finance by performing tasks including bookkeeping, data entry, processing and recording of accounts receivable and payables, and entering financial data into accounting software.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial reports and ensure data integrity
- Maintain detailed schedule of rental activity
- Perform monthly calculation of rental revenue, deferred revenue and receivable
- Summarize and properly code all cash receipts
- Record donations in accounting and donor-tracking software
- Download wire and credit card transactions from various platforms
- Maintain tuition revenue database
- Assist with bank reconcilations
- Assist with investment-related activity
- Assist with preparation and distribution of departmental financial reports
Experience and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or 3 years of equivalent experience
- Solid knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices
- Experience with accounting software, Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred
- Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Excellent problem solver and ability to meet assigned deadlines
- High attention to detal, accuracy, and organizational skills
