Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the physical integrity of our properties, promoting a safe and secure living environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain all property systems, including electrical, plumbing, water irrigation systems, tile, carpet, flooring, roofing, gutters, fasteners, shutters, doors, cabinets, windows, sliding glass doors, boiler, gas and electric, pool areas, tile, hot tub/spa, and pool furniture.
- Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager.
- Detect and repair minor or routine maintenance issues daily, involving electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other trade skills.
- Assist make-ready staff to meet deadlines and report major repairs to the Maintenance Supervisor prior to any expenditure of funds.
- Remove and transfer heavy appliances and equipment from storage to apartments or vice versa, as necessary, and assist in moving abandoned furniture and appliances.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in property management maintenance.
- Solid knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and other relevant trade information.
- Able to work extended periods without relief during emergency situations.
