As a Summer Camp Counselor, you will be instrumental in creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment for children. Reporting to the Camp Director, your core responsibilities will include supervising campers, facilitating activities, and ensuring their well-being. Your experience with children and childcare will be essential, while your premium skills in first aid and classroom management will enhance the camp experience. Key responsibilities:
- Supervision of campers:Actively monitor campers during all activities to ensure their safety and well-being, maintaining awareness of their whereabouts at all times.
- Communication with parents and staff:Regularly update parents on camper progress, address any concerns, and collaborate with other staff members to coordinate camp operations.
- Emergency response:Be prepared to handle emergencies, follow established protocols, and administer first aid when necessary.
- Camp maintenance:Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of camp facilities and equipment.
- Role model behavior:Demonstrate positive attitudes, appropriate language, and responsible behavior to serve as a positive example for campers.
