What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at The Rock?
The Rock is a new restaurant on the main strip of Cortland. We are a casual fast past restaurant looking for Bartenders . This is a team based environment. We all work together and help each other out. All bartenders are required to always be in dress code and on time. Always greet your guest with a smile and ask them how there day has been. All liquor must be measured with the jiggers and measuring glass before served to the customer. We provide make sheets for all of our drinks we make on our menu. We also provide a clean up sheet to help guide you in your nightly cleanup. All cash and card tips you make each night you will receive that night. All servers that were on that night must tip the bar out 1% of they're total sales.
Qualifications
- Experience in using POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on providing exceptional service
- Bartending experience with knowledge of mixing drinks and serving customers
- Understanding of food safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
- Proven sales skills to upsell and increase revenue
- Previous experience in banquet settings and catering
- Proficiency in basic math and retail math for handling transactions
- Familiarity with cash registers and handling cash transactions
- Knowledge of food handling and industry standards
- Previous experience in restaurants or the food industry
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $10.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
