Reporting to the Facility Operations Supervisor, the Cage Wash Attendants are primarily responsible for cage sanitation, physical plant maintenance, and the safe operation of sanitation equipment. The role is managed by the Operations Lead.

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on various factors, including but not limited to organizational budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The hiring range provided represents The Rockefeller University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Responsibilities
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Operate machinery, including laundry, autoclaves, equipment washers, and hoists; movement of equipment throughout the facility and maintaining clean conditions within the cage wash area;
- Maintain clean hallways by removing dirty equipment to the cage-wash area for processing. They must maintain ample clean autoclave supplies;
- Contribute to the collection of waste, mopping floors, changing light bulbs, restocking supplies, and fulfilling appropriate requests;
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- HS Diploma/GED required.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Must be able to push or pull weight bearing wheeled carts weighing approximately 500 lbs. and the lifting capability of approximately 50 lbs.
- Requirements are subject to change as a result of facility needs.
