Overview
We seek a highly motivated research assistant to join the Laboratory of Chemical Immunology and Proteomics.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
- Work in a highly collaborative team to study molecular drivers of T cell dysfunction
- Assist a post-doc in the lab performing basic animal husbandry
- Develop an independent research project
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Chemical biology, Chemistry, or a related field
- At least one year of research experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, chemical biology or proteomics
- Experience with some of the following cell and molecular biology techniques:
- PCR
- RT-PCR
- SDS-PAGE and Western blot
- cloning
- viral transduction
- CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing
- protein expression
- biochemical assay development
- Experience working with small rodents
- Interest in immunology
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
- Strong organizational, record-keeping, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent critical thinking, and analytical skills
