Company X manages some the most iconic and valuable advertising locations within the US and Canada, including thousands of digital displays throughout the New York, Boston, DC and Miami transit systems. In partnership with the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), Company X is in the midst of a one-of-a-kind deployment of digital displays across the entire MTA system, including in stations and on trains across the New York City subway, Metro-North Railroad and Long Island Rail Road. Company X is responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of a new network of digital screens that will provide enhanced customer information at stations and on trains, as well as new opportunities for revenue generating advertising. This transformative project will be the largest deployment of digital media in a transit environment and will create a ubiquitous real-time customer communications and advertising platform that will reach MTA customers throughout their journeys.
Company X is looking for a highly motivated deputy / junior program manager to join a cross-functional team working on the MTA deployment and ongoing advertising concession.
What You’ll Do :
This is a multi-faceted position, which includes tried-and-true program management as well as some aspects of contract administration and account management. You will, with the MTA Program Manager, be responsible for the overall management of Company X / MTA contract – you will be the “hub” of a once-in-a-lifetime project, assuring that all the pieces (from deployment to software to sales strategy and beyond) are accounted for and on track and that the entire team and Company X are well-positioned to succeed! Working with the MTA Program Manager, you will :
- Ensure that business objectives, contract requirements and financial targets are achieved
- Fully understand overall program goals and key project requirements / targets, identify blockers / delays / risks (and escalate as needed), develop solutions and mitigation plans, and highlight successes and team contributions
- Identify, evaluate and resolve potential business / contractual issues, both with respect to the digital deployment and the ongoing operation of the advertising concession
- Provide regular analysis and reporting on key program KPIs and other issues to internal and external audiences, including Company X senior leadership
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with counterparts at MTA and its agencies and serve as key contact for any issues in connection with deployment, concession and contract
- Interface with every level of Company X, from deployment PMs to senior leadership, and work directly with vendors, suppliers and project partners
- Partner with deployment and finance teams to manage budget and other financial commitments, tracking deviations from budget and opportunities for efficiency
- Understand sales models (as related existing and new MTA advertising assets) and, with sales and finance teams, evaluate performance and projections against program expectations
- Provide assistance, as needed, in connection with “Go To Market” for new advertising assets, strategies regarding customer communications and “added content,” and other new-to- Company X initiatives
- Coordinate with managers of interconnected / related projects, including providing input into requirements, reviewing schedules, providing key project / program dates, and communicating with to internal / external stakeholders
- Manage contract and other program-level documentation
