St. Elisabeth School serves students in Preschool through Grade 8. Our community is dedicated to supporting the academic, spiritual, and personal growth of our students. We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate educator with a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to Catholic values to join our preschool team.
The ideal candidate will assist the Preschool teacher in their classroom with various activities and class and yard supervision. Hours would be from:
- 9:00 am-1:00 pm Monday-Thursday
- 8:00 am-12:00 pm Friday
Requirements
- Knowledge of Catholic faith and church teachings
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff
- Demonstrate professional behavior; be reliable, flexible
- Demonstrate self-motivated and creative abilities and to undertake projects under own direction
- Support teachers and students using effective classroom management protocols; monitoring student progress; evaluating student performance
- Effective communication skills
- Show interest and enthusiasm for working young with children
- Perform other duties and administrative tasks per school protocol and/or administration’s request
- A High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Completed live scan fingerprinting and VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children training for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles (we can help with this)
- A High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- A minimum of 6 Early Childhood Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
