Job Summary
The Diocese of Burlington is seeking a Groundskeeper to join our team and play a vital role in the care and maintenance of our cemeteries and other diocesan properties.

Duties
- Perform grounds maintenance, including mowing, plowing, trimming, pruning, and flowerbed care.
- Assist with burials, interments, on-site parking, and guiding processions.
- Operate and maintain equipment such as mowers, trimmers, pruners, and utility vehicles.
- Inspect and maintain grounds equipment, including checking fluid levels, refueling, and ensuring safety standards.
- Ensure the respectful handling of funeral services while working on-site.
- Gather and dispose of weeds, snow, plant debris, and trash.
- Conduct daily inspections of cemetery grounds and report concerns promptly.
- Request necessary operational supplies and handle special projects as directed.
Experience
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with lawn care techniques and practices is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of operating power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively to complete tasks on schedule.
