Traveling Superintendent - Commercial Roofing
The Traveling Commercial Roofing Superintendent will be responsible for supervising roofing projects within the southeast states. Inter-state travel is expected to be 75% of the time with multiple overnight stays. Compensation will be commensurate with knowledge, skills and experience.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities
- Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to ensure safety compliance and correct specifications are being met. Prepares and provides progress reports to management; makes recommendations for necessary modifications or issues to be addressed.
- Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures to determine the best way for installation of the roofing systems. Ensures specifications and regulations outlined in architectural and engineering plans are followed.
- Must be able to identify potential problems before they arise and determine as well as implement effective solutions to those potential problems
- Must ensure that all materials, equipment, and tools are order, delivered, accounted for at each project
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule associates and the work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, communicating to and via project foreperson
- Effectively communicate and maintain professional relationships with associates, management, vendors, and clients
- Complete daily and weekly reports; update management on project progress and issues
