Warehouse Associate - Residential Division
Roof Depot, Inc. is offering a solid career opportunity within the Residential Tract Home Division in our Sanford, Florida location. Roof Depot is well-established in the commercial and residential roofing industry with 25 years experience. The successful candidate for this opportunity will have an uncompromising dedication to customer service, quality control and safety.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Warehouse Operations:
- Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing materials and equipment.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate stock levels.
Material Deliveries:
- Deliver materials and equipment to job sites in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure all deliveries are properly documented and accounted for.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle while adhering to all driving and safety regulations.
- Communicate with job site personnel to confirm deliveries and address any issues.
Inventory & Logistics Support:
- Assist in tracking and managing inventory levels to ensure job site needs are met.
- Support the Warehouse/Logistics Manager in coordinating shipments and deliveries.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts (if certified), pallet jacks, and other tools as required.
Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures while working in the warehouse and on job sites.
- Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles, reporting any mechanical issues.
- Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions.
Required Skills/Competencies
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification is a plus).
- Computer literate
- Able to finish a set schedule everyday
- Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug test
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience preferred.
- Experience in the construction or building materials industry is a plus
- Experience with construction/OSHA safety protocols are a plus
- Valid driver’s license and must meet out driver eligibility requirements
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to setup and climb ladders
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 80 lbs.
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying and extreme climate conditions
- Must be able to tolerate loud noise
- Must be able to drive a pick-up, panel, or large truck (if a necessary requirement of position)
