Position Overview:
As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to shape multiple aspects of our operations, with the understanding that your role may evolve and expand over time.
You will play a pivotal part in managing various functions across the tap room, beer garden, events, administration, and kitchen. Given the dynamic nature of a "growth-stage company" environment, flexibility and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities will be essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
Tap Room
- Oversee guest satisfaction and the overall brewery experience within the Tap Room.
- Handle scheduling and staffing to ensure optimal coverage during business hours.
- Supervise day-to-day operations of the Tap Room, ensuring staff are properly trained to carry out all necessary tasks behind the bar.
- Collaborate closely with the Head Brewer to provide beer training to staff, ensuring deep knowledge of the brewery's offerings.
- Manage inventory, ensuring that all supplies are adequately stocked and available.
- Analyze sales data to optimize merchandise layout, sales strategies, and upselling techniques.
- Communicate team goals and identify areas for additional training or skill development.
- Conduct employee evaluations and set performance goals.
- Maintain and update operational procedures as needed.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, always ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Ensure the Tap Room remains clean and organized, adapting the aesthetic to seasonal changes or events.
- Document and communicate daily staff activities and needs via the office clipboard system.
- Collaborate with the Head Brewer to address beer-related needs and issues.
Beer Garden-
- Oversee the upkeep and aesthetic of the beer garden area.
- Develop engaging activities and events that maximize the beer garden's layout and appeal.
Event Management-
- Plan and execute on-site events, including weekly happenings and music bookings, to drive traffic and engagement.
- Manage event space rentals, including client interaction, proposals, contracts, and coordination.
- Develop reports tracking event and rental performance, including profit/loss assessments.
- Work with the Head Brewer to ensure that all events are adequately supplied with the appropriate beer offerings.
Administrative Support
- Coordinate with the bookkeeper and Head Brewer on the preparation of financial reports
(monthly, quarterly, and year-end).
- Maintain an organized office space in collaboration with the office manager and brewery staff.
- Provide sales reports to assist with financial reconciliation and deposit tracking.
Kitchen Oversight
- Offer guidance and support to the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure proper menu presentation within the Tap Room.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team on menu development, and address any customer concerns or complaints related to food offerings.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in brewery management or hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of craft beer, kitchen operations, and inventory control.
- Proficiency in interviewing, hiring, and training staff.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and financial accountability.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
