PLASTIC SURGERY - PRN PACU NURSE

The Rose Clinic is looking for an experienced (preferably bilingual) PRN PACU/Recovery Nurse to provide excellent patient care while maintaining accurate recording. The ideal candidate would be an individual seeking to focus on patient care with experience in the cosmetic surgery industry. Each nurse has a CNA to help with patient care and duties.

In this role, the candidate will require but is not limited to:
Monitoring patient vital signs: heart rate, blood pressure, breathing and respiration and pain management during overnight stay.
Managing post operative pain and surgical sites
Communicate changes in patient status to Physician, and CRNA
Educate client and responsible guardian of post-operative instruction, including infection, post-operatic complications, preventative measures, and medication administration
Document patient assessments
Assess and prepare patients/families/significant others for discharge
Evaluate Post-operative patients

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitoring patients' positions, vital signs, and volume and color of blood after operations.
Assisting with the application of dressings, garments and other devices.
Determining the availability and inspecting sterile and non-sterile surgical equipment, tools, and supplies.
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:
Must have ACLS certification
Must have up to date & active RN License
Preferred proficiencies in both English & Spanish
Must have at least 2 years of experience in PACU/recovery (preferably plastic surgery)
Willing to work 12 hour shifts
Willing to work overnights
HIPAA & OSHA Compliance Certification preferred
