Job Types: Part time (2 days)
The Rose Establishment is currently seeking a focused and efficient individual to join our team. Applicant must have prior dish or food handling experience. Our ideal candidate would be someone that likes a clean, organized space and working with their hands. We are a downtown restaurant with an elevated food and drinks program. It's brunch and lunch but to us it is passion and art (in plating and product). We work directly with local farmers and purveyor and have our own roof top garden. We offer the opportunity to collaborate with our Chef.
Open 7am - 3pm Monday - Friday. 8am - 3pm Saturday and Sunday.
Looking for a weekend dishwasher, Saturday and Sunday only, with potential to cover shifts on other odd days.
Requirements:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans
- Wash large items by hand
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area
- Follow health and safety guidelines
- Sort and store clean dishes in their proper storage
- A positive attitude - our cafe has an open-view so politeness, professionalism, and the ability to work well with others is a must.
- Food Handler's Permit.
- Helping departments to put away orders
- Carrying product and equipment up and down stairs
- Being able to lift 50 lbs
Day in the life:
You walk in to The Rose Establishment, all the freshly baked pastries are out and the restaurant is open. The barista gives you a sample of a drink special they've been working on. It is strong and spicy, and it energizes you for your day ahead. Hours later, you take off your apron and clock out. You make yourself a sandwich, grab a cookie and sit on the patio under the shade of vines. "Benny and the Jets" is playing on the stereo. You eat your cookie and you think, "I'm sure glad I saw that ‘Dishwasher at The Rose Establishment' ad."
