Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring according to recipes and kitchen requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area, ensuring all tools, ingredients, and equipment are in good working order.
- Assemble dishes according to plating standards
- Adhere to food safety and handling regulations to maintain a safe environment for both staff and guests.
- Communicate effectively with FOH staff to coordinate timely preparation and delivery of dishes
- Manage time efficiently during busy periods to ensure ingredients are prepped
Experience
- Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen or culinary environment is required.
- Familiarity with food preparation, kitchen tools, and cooking techniques is required
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices is essential.
- Ability to work well in a team, with strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with other kitchen staff.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a high-energy setting.
- Banquet experience is beneficial
