Job Summary
This position is responsible for teaching classes, workshops, and residencies at Company locations, schools and in the community, directing youth theater and artistically contributing to main stage productions and school tours. This position also assists Education Director in the creation and facilitation of Every Single Child program, year-long, and summer programming schedule.
- Create lesson plans, and collect data, in collaboration with the Education Director, for the Every Single Child Program.
- Assist Education Director and Education Administrator with scheduling.
- Assist with onboarding, training, and mentorship of summer interns and year-long fellows.
- Create lesson plans and teach workshops, residencies, classes, and camps as scheduled.
- Contribute artistically in touring educational theater plays.
- Supervise students, fellows, summer interns, contract teachers, and volunteers.
- Direct Teens N Theater and Youth Productions as assigned.
- Act, direct, or write plays as assigned.
- Train and support teaching artists and contract teachers.
- Provide narrative, statistics, and other information as needed to the grant writer for reports.
- Mentor one Teaching Artist Fellow, including one scheduled meeting per month.
- Operate within the approved annual budget under the supervision of the Education Director.
