Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented, part-time Night Auditor to join our hospitality team. The Night Auditor is an overnight position and plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during the night shift, providing exceptional customer service while performing essential accounting and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong focus on guest relations, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
The schedule for this position is: Monday and Tuesday from 11 pm to Saturday at 7am. Three day shifts are also available on Friday through Sunday, 3 pm until 11 pm. The hourly rate is $17 per hour, with a $25 shift differential paid for each overnight shift.
Responsibilities
- Perform night audit functions, including balancing daily transactions and preparing financial reports.
- Provide outstanding customer service to guests during check-in and check-out processes.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of guest accounts and ensure all transactions are processed correctly.
- Assist with phone etiquette, responding to calls and emails in a courteous manner.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth operations.
- Monitor security of the hotel premises during night hours, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Prepare the front desk for the next day’s operations, including setting up for morning shifts.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service or guest services is preferred, particularly within a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Familiarity with night audit processes is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Multilingual or bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse guests.
- Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills are essential for effective guest relations.
- Knowledge of hotel management systems is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn is key.
