ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
- Locate materials before the start of a run and deliver safely and on time
- Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and inform purchasing of needed materials
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Help in production and assembly areas as needed
- Cross train in other areas and switch duties as needed
- Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs; be proactive in the maintenance of equipment
- Pick up all materials from machines and return to plate room or area after order is complete
- Attend all plant safety meetings
- Wash all dirty print plates, remove tape and band type
- Practice safe work habits at all times
- Inspect all incoming materials for adherence to specifications
- Develop and maintain a system to monitor inactive materials
- Inspect all materials before returning to their storage rack for damage or need of repair or replacement
- Complete all necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping
- Ability to work overtime as the job requires
- Make minor repairs to die boards and print plates
- Additional duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred that employees have prior work experience in the corrugated industry or other 2-4 years’ work experience
- May be required to maintain a current Forklift Operator license
- Ability to apply basic calculations; general high school level math and ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy
- Ability to read and understand manuals, instructions, safety rules, etc.
- Ability to apply proper understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 70 lbs: Note any objects over 50 lbs will be recommended to be handled by two members
