Summary

This part-time (less than 30 hour), entry-level position provides support as a member of the Culinary & Events team. This position is responsible will one or two aspects of the kitchen, either as a line cook or back-of house food prep. As skills improve, this person will take on more responsibilities. Focuses include frozen food preparation and packaging, grab and go food preparation and packaging, event and café menu preparation and execution. This position coordinates with the Executive Chef.

Essential Functions

  • Cuts, prepares and packages a variety of foods to be frozen
  • Assist with maintaining expected stock levels of frozen foods in stores and backstock
  • Assist with dating products and continually monitor refrigerator/freezers for product freshness
  • Assist with receiving and processing in ingredients and supplies
  • Ensures timely and proficient food preparation to meet customer demand
  • Work the POS system to help customers with culinary purchases in the café as needed
  • Assist in events by setting up buffets with food presentation standards and practices in mind, ensuring safe food handling performance
  • Maintains and ensures the maintenance of a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
  • Adhere to all applicable laws when serving alcohol
  • Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive and professional attitude
  • Arrive to work appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
