QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to five years related experience and/or training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Must be able to write routine reports. Must be able to speak effectively to visitors and employees of organization.
REASONING ABILITY
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to speak, read, and write in English plus an ability to communicate well with others.

SUMMARY
Inspects, monitors, controls and patrols the West Springfield facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Responsible for complying with all environmental regulations including hazardous waste
- Ensures that only employees (and appropriate visitors) enter Company property.
- Patrols West Springfield facility.
- Responds to emergencies as needed.
- Notifies local police department when backup is necessary.
- Prepares reports as necessary.
- Reports unusual activity to supervisor.
- Keeps log of Facility Admittance Agreements
- Takes light output performance (LOP) readings for R & D lab
- Special projects as assigned by supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned
