Job Responsibilities
The Court Advocate Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating with the Sr. Director of Legal Services to establish relationships with the judiciary, court staff, and other stakeholders. This includes:
- Mentoring, supervising, and training pro bono court volunteers and court advocates in Family Law;
- Analyzing and developing solutions to issues arising between the hotline department, legal department, and court advocates;
- Maintaining and expanding relationships with the judiciary, court staff, attorneys, and pro-se litigants;
- Organizing and coordinating trainings for pro bono court advocates and attorneys.
The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree, paralegal certification, and 5-10 years of experience in a domestic violence or legal setting. They should also have extensive understanding of domestic violence, stalking, sexual assault, crime victimization, and resulting trauma, as well as knowledge of victims' rights and available resources.
