Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front Desk Supervisor to run the evening shift (2:00pm-10:00pm, Friday through Monday or Tuesday) at our boutique hotel on the ocean. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills, a strong background in hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring that our guests have a memorable experience from check-in to check-out.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to work weekend nights is required for this position.
  • Ensure exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and providing information about hotel amenities and local attractions.
  • Conduct night audits as required, ensuring accurate reporting of daily transactions and maintaining financial integrity.
  • Oversee room inspections and mid shift tasks ensuring rooms are cleared for guest check-in.
  • Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for guests by fostering a positive team environment and prioritizing guest engagement.
  • Handle phone etiquette professionally, managing reservations and inquiries efficiently while maintaining high standards of communication.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences and address any issues that may arise during their stay.

Skills

  • Ability to work weekend nights is required for this position.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and empathy.
  • Upbeat, cheerful disposition. Ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Confidant mastery of written communication, use of proper grammar, and accurate spelling skills are a must.
  • Excellent phone etiquette, communication skills, and conversational and social skills are essential for effective interaction with guests and team members.
  • Ability to be self motivated, and possess a strong, reliable work ethic. Can separate personal issues from the professional workplace.
  • Proven experience in hospitality or a related customer service field, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
  • Familiarity with guest relations practices and night audit procedures is an asset.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
