What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prospect Manager and Researcher position at The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra Society?
Advise and execute on major donor and prospect identification, qualification, moves management, and research. Responsibilities include the research, identification, creation and maintenance of a robust donor and prospect pipeline to ensure maximized fundraising results. This role works in partnership with development and organizational leadership to ensure research and portfolio management systems effectively support organizational priorities.
Responsibilities
Pipeline Development
Create optimal portfolios with a pool of potential donors with the capacity and inclination to make a major outright or planned gift at levels of $10,000
Segment and monitor potential prospect pools based on gift timing, affinity, and volunteer leadership, and track relevant data elements
Recommend strategies to identify and qualify specific segments, including steps that will help bring prospects closer to the SPCO through engagement with gift officers, senior leadership, and / or orchestra musicians
Portfolio Management and Analytics
Create and maintain a moves management system that supports the fundraising process, to engage new and renewing prospective major donors and generate increased revenue
Implement programs and reporting systems that track progress for moving donors along the donor continuum, beginning with identification
Collect, analyze, and translate data to create reports that support strategic decision making and investments
Maintain a metrics program for development that supports the success of the Major & Planned Gifts team and brings insight to daily work, evaluating, prioritizing, and celebrating efforts that lead to the best possible fundraising outcomes
Facilitate bi-annual portfolio reviews with gift officers and senior leadership
Donor Research
Meet the donor research needs of the department by conducting research according to ethical standards of the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA) to independently and proactively identify new donor prospects
Conduct market and donor research, analyze and summarize qualitative and quantitative data, prepare detailed, accurate, and confidential reports on individuals, corporations, and foundations
Assign donor ratings (including wealth, affinity, generosity) based on giving capacity, as determined by extensive financial research using various sources such as on-line databases, published references, and other document
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.

Salary range : $52,500-$55,000 (paid hourly from $26.92 - $28.20 per hour)

Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of three years' experience in prospect development and / or research.
Must have ability to pass a criminal background check
Must live in and be a resident of the State of Minnesota
