We are currently hiring for a FINANCIAL ANALYST in BIRMINGHAM, AL.
What will you do as a FINANCIAL ANALYST?
- Provides financial analysis for the sales teams and meeting established reporting deadlines.
- Compiling and reporting monthly analysis, projections, management identified metrics and end-of-year projections that drive financial accountability
- Support the team’s financial plans by providing tactical and strategic financing assumptions.
- Provide support in documenting and assuring that internal controls are operating effectively.
- Responsible to communicate budgets, projections, initiatives, and results to management team.
- Other duties could include reconciling accounts, researching accounting issues, executing and testing internal controls, working with internal and external auditors and maintaining appropriate documentation.
Who qualifies for the FINANCIAL ANALYST position?
- BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related degree required
- 5 – 7 years of experience in financial and accounting disciplines, including financial planning and analysis, financial modeling, and budgeting.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting practices and utility accounting, including knowledge of accounting practices including accruals and financial income statements.
- Strong analytical, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with commitment to accuracy and detail and able to communicate effectively.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously and produce timely results in response to frequently changing business needs
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office products, are required and knowledge of financial applications (PowerPlan, CSS, Oracle Programs, etc.) is preferred.
What hours will the FINANCIAL ANALYST work?
- Monday – Friday, Standard business hours
- This position will be in office
- Full-time, 40 hours/week
- Temporary contract, estimated 6 months, subject to change

- Starting pay is $43/hour.
