We are currently hiring a FINANCIAL INFORMATION ANALYST II in BIRMINGHAM, AL. This person will provide critical insight into financial matters, investment decisions in stocks and bonds, financial forecasting, and business performance.
What will you do as a FINANCIAL ANALYST?
- Consolidate and Analyze Financial Data: Gather, consolidate, and analyze financial data, including budgets, income statement forecasts, and other key metrics to assess the company’s financial standing.
- Create Financial Reports: Prepare and structure sophisticated financial reports that communicate the company’s financial status, risks, and opportunities. These reports support decision-making by senior leadership.
- Develop Financial Models: Build financial models to forecast future business performance, assess potential outcomes, and identify key financial drivers.
- Conduct Benchmarking & Process Analysis: Perform benchmarking against industry standards and analyze financial processes to recommend improvements and cost-saving measures.
- Business Studies & Forecasting: Conduct studies to compare historical performance and provide future projections, enabling the company to make data-driven decisions.
- Advise Senior Analysts: Provide insights to senior financial analysts, recommending actionable steps based on thorough financial analysis and trends.
- Portfolio Recommendations and Management: Recommend individual and collections of investment portfolios, while assessing risk, return and guiding investment strategies in current market conditions.
- Consult with Management: Collaborate with management to influence strategic decision-making and support long-term financial goals.
- Drive Process Improvements: Lead initiatives to enhance financial processes, systems, and reporting frameworks to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Who qualifies for the FINANCIAL ANALYST position?
- Proven 5 – 7 years of experience as financial analyst, with a strong track record of delivering accurate and actionable financial insight.
- Thorough knowledge of financial forecasting, corporate finance, and information analysis.
- Strong analytical, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with commitment to accuracy and detail and able to communicate effectively.
- Hands-on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages.
- BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other related preferred. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, & Word) spreadsheets, databases, and financial software applications.
- Background and drug screening required
What hours will the FINANCIAL ANALYST work?
- Monday – Friday, Standard business hours
- This position will be 4 days in the office, Friday remote.
- Full-time, 40 hours/week
- Temporary contract, estimated 6 months, subject to change
How much will you earn as a FINANCIAL ANALYST?
- Starting pay is up to $44/hour, individual pay is determined by job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
