We are currently hiring a Purchasing Coordinator in Elgin, IL.
What will you do as a Purchasing Coordinator?
- Source and purchase raw food materials in line with production requirements and company standards.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve the best possible deals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains.
- Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers promptly and effectively
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and delivery schedules
Who qualifies for the Purchasing Coordinator position?
- A Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing raw food materials or a related field.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Fishbowl).
- An understanding of GMPs and regulatory documentation requirements in the food industry.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
What hours will the Purchasing Coordinator work?
- 8:30AM - 5:00PM Monday through Friday
- Temp to Hire role
- In office position
How much will you earn as a Purchasing Coordinator?
- Starting pay is $23 - $26 per hour
