What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Manager position at The Sales Collective?
Join Fab Glass And Mirror as a Founding Business Development Manager (B2B)
Glass and mirrors shape how we see the world—quite literally, and often in ways you might not notice. From windows that let light into our homes to mirrors that reflect our image, our solutions enhance the spaces and lives of those we serve.
But behind every seamless installation and beautifully crafted piece is a business built on strong partnerships, strategic growth, and innovative thinking. As we expand our reach in the B2B space, we're looking for someone who doesn’t just see sales as a numbers game, but as an opportunity to forge meaningful relationships and drive long-term value.
If you’re a sales pioneer who can run with bold new ideas and push boundaries, this is where YOU come in.
Why You’ll Love Coming to Work:
You’re stepping into an established company with strong distribution and reliable vendor relationships, but doing so as the first team member dedicated to outbound B2B sales. This means you'll have the rare opportunity to shape and define what B2B sales look like at Fab Glass & Mirror. This is a thumbprint opportunity and your chance to put your stamp on how we engage with high-value customers and build lasting partnerships.
Working closely with our COO and marketing team, your focus will be to execute against outbound lead generation strategies, tailoring campaigns to ensure a steady pipeline of new business. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to help establish best practices, test new approaches, and set the foundation for long-term success.
While you'll help shape our outbound B2B strategy, you’ll also leverage an existing playbook to connect with general contractors, builders, architects, interior designers, and building supply/home improvement stores. The bulk of your time will be spent identifying high-value opportunities and securing long-term partnerships. In addition to outbound efforts, you’ll also engage with inbound web-generated inquiries—turning interested prospects into long-term customers.
You’ll be targeting mid-to-large-scale companies involved in projects valued at $5M-$10M or more in construction, ensuring our glass and mirror solutions become a critical part of high-profile developments. The focus will be on projects that require significant amounts of glass and mirror products, such as residential high-rises, commercial buildings, and hospitality venues. You’ll also prioritize regions with high construction activity and a strong demand for premium building materials, while identifying companies that embrace technology and digital procurement tools.
What You’re Excited to Bring to Fab Glass And Mirror:
You’ve built something from nothing before. Having a successful track record, minimally of three years of significant outbound sales growth, you’ve seen what works, what doesn’t, and how to adjust. More importantly, you’ve looked at a blank canvas, identified a target market, developed territories, prioritized opportunities, created a game plan, and taken action to bring that plan to life.
You come from a world where materials matter—hardware, plumbing fixtures, railings, plywood, or building materials. You understand how a project comes together, from the initial planning phase to execution, and how to balance long and short lead times effectively. If you have sold building materials or your target customers are contractors, builders, architects, interior designers or stores like Home Depot and Lowes, this will be a smooth transition for you!
From identifying suspects and prospects to turning customers into raving fans, you understand the full sales cycle and thrive from start to finish.
Beyond sales, you’ve worked in an organization that understands marketing and have collaborated on campaigns to drive lead generation and customer engagement. You know how to align sales and marketing efforts to create a seamless customer journey, and you recognize the power of data-driven decision-making in accelerating success.
Compensation:
Enjoy stability and opportunity with a base salary starting at $75K, uncapped commission and an incentive for new account acquisition, you can realistically achieve in excess of $125K OTE per year. Here, you’ll also find benefits like medical/dental/vision, 401K match and PTO that will increase the longer you’re with us.
Location: Remote
With offices in Tampa, FL and Columbus, OH, we value collaborating on-site. However, we also value finding the right person for our growing organization. If that means you reside outside of those areas, we invite you to work from the comfort of your home with occasional travel to meet with your team, support a client or head to an industry event.
