Starting Salary $65,000 


We seek a dynamic and creative Digital Marketing & Social Media Manager to join our team in Florida. This role is pivotal in driving guest traffic into salons through various digital strategies while managing our social media presence and increasing our Aveda Florida Network of Salons’ and Aveda Florida’s brand awareness. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the beauty industry, social media trends, and digital marketing strategies, with a passion for inspiring salon owners and professionals to take action to drive more guests into their Aveda Florida salons and encourage those guests to purchase their products locally in these salons through social media and marketing.

Requirements & Responsibilities


Driving Guest Traffic into Salons: (50%)


· Digital Strategies: Collaborate with salon partners to implement effective strategies for driving guest traffic, focusing on salon websites, SEO, Google My Business optimization, social media strategies, and review management.

· Owner Call Content Creation and Education: During owner calls, provide valuable content and information, developed in advance, to accelerate growth. This will be done in a way to ensure salon professionals have the tools and knowledge they need to attract more guests.

· Referrals and Reviews: Develop initiatives to encourage positive reviews and referrals, enhancing salon’s online reputation and attracting new clients.

· Workshops and Education: Create content and conduct workshops and webinars to educate salon owners on leveraging digital platforms to increase guest engagement and sales.


Social Community Management: (50%)


· Social Media Oversight, Posting & Scheduling, & Updates: Oversee all social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, to enhance our online presence and engage with hairdressers, salons, and clients.

· Content Creation and Curation: Create and curate high-quality content like text posts, images, videos, and stories for various social media platforms, ensuring consistency with brand voice and messaging; engaging content focused on hair, color, product knowledge, education, events, and brand stories that resonate with hairdressers and salon professionals.

· Community Management: Engaging with followers by responding to comments, messages, and questions promptly, fostering positive interactions and building brand loyalty.

· Advertising Management: Manage social media advertising campaigns and budget allocation to maximize reach and effectiveness.

· Website & Landing Pages Updates: Collaborate with the leadership team to identify opportunities to enhance the company's website periodically, ensuring it remains user-friendly and up-to-date with the latest information and resources.  Landing pages and educational site creation and upkeep; this is where all resources and tools live.

· Collaboration: Work closely with leadership to maintain consistent messaging across all platforms.

· Trend Analysis: Monitor emerging social media trends, new platforms, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for innovation and adaptation. Stay current with industry trends and best practices.

· Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics to optimize content and drive engagement, ensuring alignment with overall business goals. This shall include Tracking key metrics like impressions, reach, engagement, follower growth, and conversion rates to measure campaign performance and identify areas for improvement.

· Brand Reputation Management: Monitoring online conversations to proactively address any negative feedback or crisis situations, protecting brand image.

· Social Media Crisis Management: Developing plans to effectively handle online crisis and communicate with leadership during any potential negative situations.


General Requirements & Minimal Qualifications: 

· 3 years of experience in creative digital marketing and social media with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals preferred. 

· Proficient in all technical skills required to successfully perform the job requirements and responsibilities listed above.

· Have a passion for Aveda products and the beauty industry.

· Solid understanding of sales, product knowledge, events, operations, retail culture and beauty industry, with a deep understanding of the salon industry and current trends.

· Able to identify challenges and develop solutions quickly 

· Independent judgment and decision- making capabilities utilizing Ownership Thinking 

· Possess an entrepreneurial spirit which consists of being self-directed with excellent organizational and time management skills. 

· Must be self-motivated, resourceful and results oriented.

· Ability to develop and deliver presentations as well as the ability to build long lasting relationships. 

· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong computer proficiency and mobile first proficiency in MS Office, Zoom, social media, website creation and/or website updates. 

· Activate local and national initiatives and promotions to build brand development and maximize brand performance.

· Demonstrated results through strategic thinking.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment. 

· Availability to work key business hours, occasional weekends may be required for events.

· Travel Required - TBD

· If travel is required, possess a valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance.
