Job Summary
The Salty Cod has a requirement for a well-seasoned front of house employee who can lead the Front of House team in a positive manner.
- All applicants must be dedicated, passionate about bar craft and service, eager to learn, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
- You will be expected to have excellent wine, beer, and craft cocktail knowledge to educate guests on our unfamiliar concept.
- Barista talents are beneficial since we do serve a variety of espresso beverages
- Must be able to collaborate well with coworkers and patrons to create a unique and pleasant well round experience.
- Cleanliness, professionalism, and punctuality are an absolute necessity.
- Applicant must be able to work as a team with Chef Kristen and take direction to assist her with daily tasks and ordering.
- Candidates are required to adhere to company policies and procedures
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage front-of-house operations, ensuring a seamless dining experience for guests.
- Train, develop, and mentor staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
- Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for front-of-house staff.
- Scheduling Front of House staff to make sure each shift is adequately staffed
- Maintain compliance with food handling and safety regulations to ensure the health and safety of both guests and staff.
- Utilize POS system for efficient order processing and payment handling.
- Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance service quality.
- Collaborate with kitchen management to ensure smooth communication between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in restaurant management or as an assistant manager in a casual dining setting.
- Familiarity with shift management practices and effective team leadership strategies.
- Familiarity with serving is a necessity. Applicant will be expected to thoroughly understand the food menu and how to sell it.
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and food management practices.
- Experience with training development to elevate team performance in service delivery.
- Proficiency in using SpotOn POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
- A passion for the food industry and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
