Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Seasonal Servers to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Seasonal Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that all guests have a memorable experience. You need to have at least 1yr of serving in a full-service restaurant for this job.
Duties
- · Present menus to guests and answer questions about menu items, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services.
- Monitor and observe guests dining experience to ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service and respond promptly and courteously to correct any problems.
- Take food or beverages orders from guests.
- Inform guests of menu changes and daily specials and make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy.
- Enter orders into handhelds or POS Terminal for transmittal to bar or kitchen staff.
- Serve food or beverages to guests.
- Prepare hot drinks for guests.
- Describe and recommend beers, wines, and mocktails to guests.
- Check guests’ identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
- Bring bottled wine selections to tables with appropriate glasses and pour the wines for guests.
- Serve desserts and offer coffee with desserts.
- Remove dishes and glasses from tables and take them to the bar and kitchen for washing.
- Print checks from the POS System that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.
- Collect payments from guests.
- Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
- Clean tables after guests have finished dining.
- Assist the Manager by answering phones to take reservations or to-go orders, and by greeting, seating, and thanking guests.
- Roll silverware, set up stations and set up dining areas to prepare for the next shift or for large parties.
- Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, condiments, and tableware.
- Perform cleaning duties, such as sweeping and mopping floors, light dusting, window cleaning, tidying up server station, and anything you see that needs attention. If you can see it then guests can also see it. Help maintain a clean work environment. It's all about teamwork!
Requirements
- Previous experience in a full-service restaurant setting is required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with guests positively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift items as needed (up to 25 pounds).
- Familiarity with POS systems is a necessity.
- A positive attitude, teamwork spirit, and willingness to learn are essential traits for success in this role.
